One dead, three injured as landslide hits Super Nyadi Hydropower Project site
Workers were hit as they prepared for lunch at the Lamjung-based project camp.

A landslide near Naiche village in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-6, Lamjung, killed one worker and left three others injured on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as approximately 44-year-old Lagan Dhoj Gurung, a mechanical worker employed by G & G Infra Pvt Ltd, a construction company involved in the 40.27MW Super Nyadi Hydropower Project.
Police said Gurung, who had been temporarily living in Besisahar Municipality-8, died at the scene. His permanent address is yet to be ascertained.
According to project officials, the incident occurred when about 40 workers were preparing for lunch at the camp. Without warning, a landslide fell from the hillside, striking four workers.
Gurung died immediately, while the remaining three were rescued and taken to Province Hospital in Besisahar.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Resham Bohara, chief of the District Police Office, Lamjung, said that a police team from Bahundanda Police Post joined the rescue operation immediately after reports of the incident were received.
The injured have been identified as 21-year-old Biraj Gurung of Dordi Rural Municipality-5, 35-year-old Pritam Lama of Madhya Nepal Municipality-7, and 25-year-old Bikash Bista of Jhimruk Rural Municipality-6, Pyuthan. They sustained injuries to the head, limbs, and torso.
Police said that the other 36 workers at the camp were unharmed.
