Indian national dead, another injured in Nawalparasi East road accident

The accident occurred when a motorcycle en route to India from Nepal plunged into a river, police say.

An Indian national died, and another was injured in a road accident in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi East district.

The accident occurred when a motorcycle with an Indian registration number, travelling from Trivenidham in ward 6 of the rural municipality towards India, went out of control and plunged into the Amchur river.

The police said the motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man from Maharajgunj district, India, died at the scene.

The pillion rider, 28-year-old Ashok Rajbhar, was injured and is being treated at Prithvi Chandra Hospital in Parasi.
