A 55-year-old woman died when a landslide buried a house in Baglung Municipality-1 in the wee hours on Thursday.

Police said Khila Kumari Sharma died in the incident. She was alone at the house when the landslide buried it.

Similarly in Nawalparasi East, one died and another went missing after they were swept away by flooded rivers in the district.

Surya Pariyar, aged 35, a resident of Madhyabindu Municipality-4, died as he was swept away by the Ulti stream in Madhyabindu-1.

Likewise, Bishal Karki, 48, went missing after being swept away by the Boudi stream in Baudikali Rural Municipality-1 of the district, said police.
