Gandaki Province Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali on Tuesday sacked Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Urban Development and Transport Management Kumar Khadka.
Chief Minister Nepali sacked Khadka accusing him of not helping the ruling alliance candidate for the upcoming federal and provincial elections.
Khadka’s removal from the ministerial portfolio comes a week after Minister for Energy and Irrigation Hari Sharan Acharya was sacked on November 8, for supporting main opposition CPN-UML in the run-up to the November 20 polls.
Khadka, who was elected province assembly member from the Nepali Congress under the Proportional Representation system, had remained inactive after he was denied a ticket by the party.
Khadka was appointed minister in the provincial Cabinet on August 23, 2021.
