Nepal secured their second consecutive win in the ongoing Blind Cricket T20 World Cup, defeating South Africa by 11 runs in a closely contested match on Tuesday.
The match, part of the tournament being held in Pakistan, saw Nepal batting first and setting a challenging target of 199 runs. Nepal's Naresh Chaudhary was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant 80 runs. The team finished their innings at 198 for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, South Africa managed 187 runs for the loss of two wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Despite an unbeaten century (100 runs) by South African batsman Bule Vidhale, the team fell short of the target.
This victory follows Nepal’s win against Afghanistan on Monday, after losing their first two matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. With this win, Nepal’s chances of securing a spot in the semifinals have significantly improved.
The tournament features six teams: Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.
