Nepal defeat England by six wickets in Hong Kong Sixes

Nepal secured a historic six-wicket win against three-time champions England in the 20th Hong Kong Sixes on Friday.
The Rhinos chased down the 98-run target in 4.2 overs. Captain Sandeep Jora led the charge with an explosive 50 off 12 balls, hitting four fours and six sixes, while Lokesh Bam contributed 20 off 11 balls, including one four and two sixes.
Earlier, Nepal won the toss and opted to bowl, holding England to 97-6 in 5.5 overs. England’s captain Ravi Bopara top-scored with 49 off 12 balls, including one four and seven sixes. Samit Patel added 39 from 17 balls with three fours and three sixes, but other English batters failed to capitalise.
Nepal's bowling attack was effective, with Pratis GC leading the charge by claiming three wickets for just 18 runs in two overs. Vivek Yadav, Narayan Joshi and Lokesh Bam also made notable contributions, each taking a wicket while maintaining tight economy rates, helping to restrict England to 97 runs.
Nepal are in Group B alongside England and Australia and will face Australia on Saturday.
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is a six-a-side international cricket tournament. Nepal are participating in the tournament for the first time.
