Nepal’s women cricket team edged out hosts Malaysia by three wickets in a decider to clinch the five-match Twenty20 International bilateral series 3-2.
In the match played at UKM-YSD Cricket Oval, Bangi, Malaysia, on Sunday, Nepal chased down 110 runs target by the hosts in 19.2 overs losing seven wickets.
Sita Rana Magar top-scored at 34 runs, hitting six fours, as skipper Rubina Chhetry made 23 runs with three fours in the run chase.
Ainna Hamizah Hashim of Malaysia took two wickets.
Earlier, Malaysia made 109 runs on the board losing five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs after being put to bat first by Nepal.
Wan Julia made 47 runs off 60 balls as Winifred Duraisingam chipped in with 24 runs.
For Nepal, Kabita Joshi grabbed two wickets.
The last match of the five-match of bilateral series determined the winner after the visiting Nepal women’s cricket team crashed to a four-wicket defeat against hosts Malaysia in their fourth game on Saturday.
