Opener Kushal Bhurtel will miss Nepal’s match against the United Arab Emirates in the Triangular Series of the ICC World Cup League 2 due to an injury.
The Cricket Association of Nepal said Bhurtel has suffered a groin injury and will be replaced by Sundeep Jora in the 14-member squad.
Bhurtel had scored 56 runs against Papua New Guinea as Nepal had registered their record fifth One-Day International victory in a row on February 27, but had failed to score a double-digit run in other matches of the ongoing series.
Nepal will wrap up the series by playing against the hosts UAE on Monday.
