Two persons died when a landslide buried a car and a truck at Siddhababa in Palpa district along the Siddhartha Highway in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to Prabin Acharya, Chief at the District Traffic Police Office, Palpa, the identities of the deceased are yet to be established.
The car (Lu 1 Cha 7994) and the truck (Na 3 Kha 6191) were buried by the landslide coupled with some huge boulders. The vehicles were completely destroyed in the incident.
Police suspected that some other people might have been buried in the landslide.
Police said that the rescue operation could not be carried out as the landslide was massive.
