The body of a man who went missing while swimming in Begnas Lake was found on Monday.
43-year-old Rajesh Shrestha, a resident of ward 3 in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality from Gorkha district, went missing while swimming in the lake, located in ward 31 of the Pokhara Metropolitan City.
A team of seven divers, under the command of the Armed Police Inspector from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 24 Kalika Battalion, was sent to retrieve the body after news of Shrestha’s disappearance.
The body was found about 35 feet underwater on Monday morning, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Thapa, assistant spokesperson for the APF.
