Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday on a one-day official visit.
She was welcomed by Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal upon her arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As per the itinerary, she will call on President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Japanese Minister Kamikawa will also hold bilateral talks with her Nepali counterpart Narayankaji Shrestha before departing on the same evening.
Kamikawa visited Nepal at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Shrestha. She is the fourth Japanese foreign minister to come to Nepal since the two countries established diplomatic relations in September 1956.
