What to do Kathmandu? is Anuprastha’s second album, following the 2010’s self-titled debut.
The songs in the new album are based on the band’s signature folk-hard-rock orientation, frontman Neran Shahi told the Post.
Anuprastha came into the limelight with their participation in the reality television show Sprite Band Challenge, in 2008, which the band went on to win. Subsequently the band released their debut which, comprising numbers like Din, Sukha ra Dukha, and Guff, solidified their place in the Nepali rock music scene.
The new album comes after a long hiatus of seven years, during which the band was touring and performing in-house concerts.
Speaking to the Post about the new album, Shahi said, “The songs in the new album revolve around the essence of the city of Kathmandu. We have incorporated into our lyrics what a common person sees when they wander around the city.”
The new album is released under the label of Music Nepal.
