A rally was held in Kathmandu on Saturday to put pressure on lawmakers to endorse impeachment motion against CIAA Chief Commissioner Lokman Singh Karki.

In the rally organised by Solidarity for Dr KC Alliance, senior orthopedic surgeon at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) Dr Govinda KC said that the parliament is a place of people’s representatives, not an abode of Karki.

In his speech, Dr KC appreciated the leaders speaking against Karki who were otherwise mum due to Karki’s fear.

Dr KC said that Karki should not only be removed from CIAA chief commissioner post, but also should be punished for his wrong deeds.

Addressing the rally, NC lawmaker Surendra Chaudhary said, ‘No power in the world can save Lokman Singh Karki.’

Various literary figures, opinion leaders and professionals participated in the rally. The rally started from Maitighar Mandala and was wrapped up at New Baneshwor.
