Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) has clinched the first Rumpum Jhapa gold cup, defeating the host team Jhapa XI by 1-0 on Saturday.
In the match held at the Domlal stadium, NAC striker Nawayug Shrestha's goal in the 18th minute proved decisive for the game.
Along with the win, NAC also won a cash prize of Rs. 600,000 and the cup. Runner-up Jhapa -11 won Rs. 300,000 in cash, medals and certificates. A total of 10 teams had competed in the football tournament that began on March 31.
