In coming to this decision, ICC coordinated with a range of local authorities, including the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN),” ICC said in a release on Thursday.
ICC Chief Executive David Richardson said the ICC will soon discuss about the possible help the world cricket governing body can provide to the development of Nepali cricket. “ICC remains committed to assisting the development of cricket in Nepal and will be discussing a range of options in this regard at its next board meeting in October,” said Richardson.
Nepal will be one of the teams fancying the last available spot for the 2016 ICC U-19 World Cup in Bangladesh. Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and the USA are the other teams participating in the event.
