Mega beat Kantipur Media Group (KMG) by six wickets in the last-ball thriller. KMG scored 74-6 in 5 overs before Mega replied with 75 without losing a single wicket in the last ball of their innings. Aashish Shrestha struck unbeaten 31 and Diwash Thakuri slammed 30 not out. Both the batsmen needed just nine balls to score those runs.
Civil Bank saw off Sipradi by eight runs. Riding on a 12-ball 34 unbeaten runs from former Abhay Rana, Civil scored 66-4 and restricted Sipradi for 58-3 in five overs. NIC Asia beat Prabhu Bank by four wickets in another pre-quarterfinal match. Prabhu posted 65-3 and NIC Asia replied with 68-2 in 4.4 overs thanks to an unbeaten 31 runs from Dipesh Pradhan.
Kumari hammered Nimbus by 48 runs. Kumari made 70-2 with Sarbagya Thapa making 13-ball 30 and Nimbus were only able to score 22-3 in reply. Century Bank also recorded a 53-run win over Machhapuchhre Bank to enter the quarter-finals. Century amassed 102-0 with Suraj Timalsina scoring unbeaten 36, Subash Sharma hitting not out 22 and Diwesh Dangol 21 not out runs. Machhapuchhre replied with 49-2 in five overs.
Earlier, the pre-quarter-finals lineup were complete with Mega, Kumari, Sripadi, Nepal Telecom, Civil Bank and NIC Asia making the final cut. They were accompanied to the next round as the best four runners-up by NMB Bank, ICFC Finance, NCC Bank and Nabil Bank. Prabhu Bank, Machhapuchhre Bank, Century Bank, Nimbus, Kantipur Media Group and Nepal SBI Bank had already secured their passage for the second round on Thursday.
