NRA signs aid deal with over 180k families

Of the total 533,058 registered households in the 11 districts, 11,840 have received the first installment amounting to Rs50,000 each out of Rs200,000 as of June 29, said NRA.
Among the districts where the distribution of rebuilding aid has started, Gorkha has the highest number of beneficiaries at 4,657, followed by Dolakha (4,416), Ramechhap (1,390), Rasuwa (705), Okhaldhunga (441) and Sindupalchok (232).
Ramechhap, with a total of 43,609 households as ‘real beneficiaries’, has become the first quake-hit district to sign the agreement with all victims, the NRA sub-regional office in Dolakha. Gorkha has signed the agreement with 40,857 households.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development on Wednesday mobilised 58 officers as VDC secretaries in earthquake-affected districts to expedite the reconstruction process.
