Speaking at a party programme in Biratnagar on Monday, Yadav said: “If the government does not address the demands of Madhesi, Janajati-Adivasi and other marginalised communities of the society, they will take apart bricks of Singha Durbar one by one.”
The agitation will continue until the row over state demarcation is settled, Yadav said. “Morcha’s bottom-line is the revision of federal borders.
If three major political parties forge consensus on this issue, Morcha is ready for agreement.”
Yadav, who is spearheading the Madhes agitation, said that the talks with the government would only succeed if the government brings a concrete proposal on the Morcha demands. He rued government’s indifference towards talks with the Morcha already being held for over dozen times. Dismissing the tabling of the constitution amendment bill as a government ploy to deceive the Madhesis, he warned of a greater revolt if the ongoing Madhes agitation is not timely addressed.
