Thapa: Motoarable road will reach all VDCs in two years

Apart from some villages that do not need black-topped road, we have planned to link with all the villages with motorable road in two years, he said in a program on Wednesday.
“The government is going to invest huge money on roads,” said Thapa, adding that the government in partnership with local bodies and people will be launching ‘solar in every household’ programme soon. “These two plans will be implemented soon and we hope the programme like solar in every household will largely ease the power crisis.”
The Ministry of Local Development is also mulling over launching a massive national campaign for alternative energy such as solar and bio-gas plants in households.
Thapa said a similar program would be launched in all towns and cities for installation of solar road electricity.
“We are waiting for a Cabinet decision on this,” he added.
The government is also planning to launch ‘clean and green city’ campaign aimed at making cities clean and environment friendly. Under this programme, every households in town and city areas should plant at least one tree in the vicinity, local entities and households will have to plant trees on the side of the city roads.
A special campaign will be launched in the cities and towns to promote open space and garden.
