Secretaries reshuffled again

The Cabinet meeting on Friday decided to transfer the incumbent Urban Development Secretary Arjun Kumar Karki to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. Physical Infrastructure Secretary Gajendra Kumar Thakur was assigned to the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Similarly, incumbent Environment Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel was sent to newly created Livestock Development Ministry.
Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dipendranath Sharma was deputed to the Urban Development Ministry while another PMO Secretary Bijaya Mallik was posted to Population and Environment Ministry.
National Vigilance Centre Secretary Ramesh Sharma was transferred to Office of Public Procurement, Information Secretary Sunil Bahadur Malla to National Vigilance Centre and Regional Administrator Mahesh Dahal was sent to the PMO.
Western Region Administrator Kedar Bahadur Adhikari was transferred to the PMO and Public Service Commission Secretary Bishnu Lamsal to the Ministry of Supply.
Incumbent Easter Region Administratior Rajendra Nepal was posted to the Office of Auditor General.
The Cabinet also decided to depute Madhusudhan Adhikari as acting secretary at the National Reconstruction Authority.
Besides reshuffling the secretaries, the government also promoted Chandra Ghimire, Shashisekhar Shrestha, Shankar Koirala and Laxmi Prasad Dhakal and Mahendraman Gurung to the post of acting secretary. They were assigned the post of administration chief of the five development regions.
NPC member appointed
The government also gave a complete shape to National Planning Commission by appointing its six members. Sumitra Amatya, Kamananda Dev, Sunil Bahadur Shrestha, Chandra Kanta Poudel, Geeta Bhakta Joshi and Bijaya Bahadur Kunwar were named the members of the commission. Former Governor Yubaraj Khatiwada was appointed NPC head immediately after Oli elected Prime Minister in October.
