Dhading
Two cattle herders who were trapped inside a cave at Hindung in Ruby Valley-4 in Dhading district since January 27 were found dead on Thursday.
Dhan Bahadur Tamang, 18, and Nurbu Tamang, 47, had entered the cave with 250 sheep during a snow storm. They were trapped inside the cave when its opening was blocked by a landslide.
A search team from the Armed Police Force recovered the bodies of the two men and
their cattle on Thursday evening.
Armed Police Deputy Superintendent Darshan Giri said the cave’s entrance was blocked by large boulders.
The search team found Dhan Bahadur and Nurbu nearly 20 metres deep inside the cave, he added.
The APF team had to wait for the weather to clear before beginning the search operation on Tuesday evening.
