An improvised explosive device (IED) went off near the office of Gauriganga Municipality-10 in Dhangadhi on Saturday morning.
The explosion, however, did not cause any kind of damage, according to District Police Office spokesperson Bir Bahadur Budhamagar.
Meanwhile, a bomb disposal squad of Nepal Army defused a suspicious object found near the Purwar Oil Store in Dhangadi Sub-Metropolitan City.
The incident reportedly took place during the bandh called by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist.
Earlier on Friday, police had arrested a member of Manu Nepal for organising a torch rally. RSS
