The residents of Tenchet, Tingchet, Tirgaun, Kunchet and Darkha villages have been identified as highly vulnerable. These villages have already witnessed several landslides in the wake of the April 2015 earthquake.
Ganga Bahadur Tamang of Darkha-8 said they have urged the District Administration Office to relocate them to safer location at the earliest.
Chief District Officer (CDO) Bishwo Prakash Subedi said the DAO will recommend the National Reconstruction Authority to relocate victims after geologists have conducted risk assessment.
A team of geologists had recommended relocating the families of Gamrang, Cheprang, Karang and Andar villages of Ree VDC, Chaymrang and Chapangchet villages of Lapa VDC following last month’s landslides. The local administration is planning to relocate them in Langerchet, Bojang, Kachet, Dangrichet, Dejongdanda, Thulogaun and Topchet areas.
