Seven shops were destroyed by the landslips on Monday night. Mudslides also obstructed the access road to the under-construction Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project.
According to Mahesh Shrestha, a local businessman, the old market of Singati is at high risk of landslides. People of seven shops and three concrete houses have been displaced due to fears of landslide.
Area Police Office in Singati said people living in vulnerable areas have been relocated. Three families in Jhyaku-7 were also moved to safer places after a landmass began to slide, said Inspector Binod Sunuwar.
Singati Bazaar, a commercial hub for more than a dozen northern VDCs, was devastated by the earthquakes last year. Assessment reports show the earthquakes have increased the risk of landslides in affected districts.
