A meeting of the party's standing committee held at the party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence at Lazimpat, Kathmandu, on Monday formed the seven-member committee under the convenorship of party vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
The committee comprises of party general secretary Krishna Bahadur Mahara, secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, secretaries Barshaman Pun and Giriraj Mani Pokharel, treasurer Haribol Gajurel and standing committee member Janardan Sharma.
Party spokesman Dinanath Sharma said the committee has been formed as lack of coordination between the party and the government would result in ineffectiveness of decision as well as ownership over it. He explained that the committee has been formed with the objective that maximum works are carried in favour of the people when the party is in the government.
Sharma added that special attention would be given so that the committee provides necessary advice to the government and ensures that the government maintains transparency in its decisions.
"The committee has been formed to put an end to the tendency of taking decisions all by oneself without informing the party," spokesman Sharma said.
Likewise, the standing committee meeting also decided to hold the Province Number 2 party cadres' assembly at Bardibas on October 29 and that of Province Number 5 at Kohalpur on October 30. RSS
