At a ceremony held at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas and in the presence of the President, Chief Justice Ramkumar Prasad Shah administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed Chairman of the NHRC Anup Raj Sharma.
Chairman Sharma on the occasion administered the oath of member of the Commission to Prakash Chandra Wosti, Mohana Ansari, Govinda Sharma and Sudip Pathak.
Present on the occasion were Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Minister for Law, Justice, Constituent Assembly and Parliamentary Affairs Narahari Acharya, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Lilamani Poudyal, Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana and the special class officials of the constitutional bodies and the government.
