Tara Devi Gaha of Butwal Municipality-13 and Hira Acharya and Pitamber Gyawali of Butwal-6 were killed while returning from a visit to Mathillo Sidhhababa, a religious site, in the electric three-wheeler, according to Dhovan Police Post. However, their age, including other details of the accident, could not be verified immediately.
One seriously injured in the accident has been referred to Chitwan after initial treatment at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital while two others are being treated at Butwal Hospital.
Driver Yadav Rayamajhi of Butwal-6, who managed to save his life by jumping off the rickshaw, has been apprehended by the police.
The Mathillo (upper) and Tallo (lower) Siddhababa located along the Siddhartha Highway are areas prone to accident.
