Nepal International Trade Fair to begin on March 16

The exhibition will have 340 stalls showcasing various domestically-made as well as imported products.
According to the organiser, Chinese companies will showcase their products from 85 stalls, while those from India have 10 stalls. Pakistani traders have booked 20 stalls, whereas 50 stalls have been allocated for Bangladeshi firms and two for Thai companies.
Importers of Nepali products from countries like Japan, Korea and Thailand, among others, will also be participating in the event.
FNCCI said the fair will also offer a platform for enhancing B2B contacts and promoting global products under a single roof. Besides, the exhibition aims at boosting technology transfer and identifying potential investment areas. Handicrafts, tourism, information technology, agricultural products, energy, construction materials and interior design products, among others, will be major attractions of the event. Other products on display include drugs and medicines, iron and steel, fashion wear, leather goods and food items.
FNCCI is organising the trade fair in association with International Labour Organisation (ILO) and a number of private sector organisations such as Mercantile Communication, Official Cargo Ganesh, Ganesh Air Cargo, Carpet Sponsor Heritage Carpet, Premier Insurance and Arghakhachi Cement.
The event will also host 35 stalls showcasing herbal products of various domestic companies. FNCCI’s Agro Enterprise Centre of FNCCI will showcase agricultural products from 70 stalls. On the sidelines, ILO will be conducting a job fair.
FNCCI has expected more than 200,000 visitors.
