Sharma named new CNI president
The 13th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has named Senior Vice-President Hari Bhakta Sharma as the new president of the business body for the next three years.The 13th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has named Senior Vice-President Hari Bhakta Sharma as the new president of the business body for the next three years.
As per the CNI statute, the senior vice-president is automatically appointed as the president.
The AGM elected a 28-member national council including the president, five vice-presidents and members. The newly elected vice-presidents are Anuj Agrawal, Satish More, Bishnu Kumar Agrawal, Nirvana Chaudhary and Krishna Prasad Adhikari, the CNI said in a press release.
The elected members of the council are Rahul Kumar Agrawal, Suresh Lal Shrestha, Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Ramesh Gupta, Sulav Agrawal, Amit Kumar Begani, Dilip Agrawal, Sandeep Kumar Sharada, Kamal Jain and Barun Todi.
Similarly, the other members are Ananda Subedi, Anal Raj Bhattarai, Guru Prasad Neupane, Manoj Kedia, Guna Chandra Bista, Birendra Raj Pandey, Raj Bahadur Shah, Sanjeev Rijal, Asha Rana Adhikari, Amir Pratap Rana and Barsa Shrestha.
Krishna Prasad Adhikari from the Chitwan Industries Association, Naresh Das from the Export Council of Nepal and Nicolas Pandey from the Nepalese Youth Contractor Association have also been elected council members.
