Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to visit India in the first week of November.

His visit starts on November 4 from Goa, where he will attend India Ideas Conclave 2016, organised by India Foundation, before heading to the Indian capital of New Delhi the next day.

Deuba is said to spend two days in New Delhi. Sources say the NC president will be meeting with senior Indian leaders and government officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, during his stay. Deuba’s India visit, the first ever as a party president, comes at a time when the political parties back home are making efforts to amend the country’s constitution to address the demands of Madhesi community.
