The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has released a statement on Sunday conveying Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s congratulatory message to newly elected Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli.
The statement expressed PM Modi’s hope and expectation that PM Oli would take along ‘all sections of the society’ for peace and stability in the country.
“We are confident that the Government of Nepal will address the remaining political issues confronting the country in a spirit of dialogue and reconciliation,” read the statement.
Saying that India has always stood for peace and progress of Nepal, the statement conveyed Modi’s message that India would continue to extend all assistance in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Nepal.
