A government team led by Krishna Hari Baskota, the secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, carried out the field inspection of the road on Friday, and told the project authorities to expedite the   works. It was the sixth project field visit of the Baskota team. The team directed the project authorities to work during the nights to avoid traffic jams.

Despite several government calls to speed up the project, the firm contracted to repair the Nagdhunga-Naubise road has failed to maintain the regular work schedule.

 If the authorities do not pick up the pace now, it is highly unlikely the project will complete before rainy season. According to the weather forecast, monsoon is expected to arrive in the country in one week.
