Gautam said that the helicopter expenses were covered up by his supporters and organisers of the event, claiming that he did not spend amount from the state coffer. Speaking at a programme in the Capital on Tuesday, Minister Gautam accused the media of character assassination by carrying a news report on helicopter ride.
Kantipur National Daily had recently carried a news report mentioning that DPM Gautam had used up Rs. 2 million from state coffer for his helicopter ride to Argakhanchi.
In a different note, Home Minister Gautam also claimed that hooliganism in the Capital had gone down remarkably, adding that all the hooligans across the country were now inactive.
