Daayitwa, a public service fellowship programme established to inculcate a sense of responsibility in Nepali youth and to encourage them to take up public service, is organising an open house today at its premises in Bhakundole, Kathmandu.

The event will see the participants from Daayitwa’s Summer Fellowship Programme (wherein the fellows were summoned to conduct research and share their findings), present their findings to the general public.

Daayitwa’s Summer Fellowship Programme included 17 young Nepali policy innovators who were trained in eight countries; they also worked with seven MPs and ten public agencies on high-priority projects.

Last Friday, Daayitwa organised their Daayitwa Governance Un-Symposium 2015, wherein the Daayitwa fellows presented their research findings to an audience that comprised stakeholders from the government and civil society, as well as representatives from various international communities. During the programme, the participants discussed  ways to ensure a greater participation by Nepali youth in the nation’s policy-making process.

The event was attended by dignitaries like Lal Babu Pandit, Minister of General Administration, and Lila Mani Paudyal, former Chief Secretary, the Government of Nepal.

The open house will start at 2 pm and will go on till 5 pm.
